I need to comment on this picture here. So I get that the kid who posted this thought it was funny, the other 80 people thought it was funny, the girl who said ‘that’s an embarrassment to Smeagol(Gollum lol)’ thought it was funny. You may think it’s funny.
I don’t think it’s very funny.
The funny thing is that girls do wear makeup almost all the time because wearing a little bit of make up to make it look like you’re not wearing any is in. That’s what’s funny about this kid’s post because it could backfire on him. Girls do wear makeup to make it look like they’re not wearing any.
But that’s not my point. I don’t know why stuff like this bothers me, but it does. This post just proves that people, especially in high school, are based and labeled solely on their appearance. That is what society encourages- good looking people. So you may have an awesome, beautiful, fantastic personality but that doesn’t matter because you have a pimple on your face, because you’re a little too pale, because you’re slightly under or slightly over weight, or because you wear t-shirts, jeans, and converse instead of dresses and high heels.
Personality is key, guys. No matter what people say. What’s also funny is that the ‘pretty’ girls always have the ugliest personalities. Some of them are nice, but if you’re not pretty or ‘popular’ then you’re not in their circle of friends. They’ll be nice to you, but they won’t hang out with you and get a chance to know you- you’re just someone in their class.
But see the kid who said ‘Bro that’s pretty messed up?’ Just bless him…
Ladies, if a guy doesn’t like you when you’re wearing a baggy t-shirt, no bra, shorts/jeans, hair in a messy bun, with no makeup while you lay in bed and watch TV then he’s not worth your time. And don’t even think about giving him the time of day because he’s cute. If he doesn’t like you for your personality then he can go find someone else because, to him, there’s always going to be someone prettier. It sucks for him though because he lost a gem who was beautiful all the way around, not just by what she looks like on the outside.
